Last night (Oct 30), the new season of Love & Hip Hop: New York premiered on VH1 and the mess has already begun to form. In addition to catching up with Remy and Yancy, several new characters like Brittney Taylor and Anais were introduced to fans of the franchise.
The latter is wild reminiscent of that one “regular, schmegular chick” that succeeded in flipping her LHH look into a fiercely prosperous career. It isn’t that Anais is trying to mirror Cardi B’s image, truthfully, it’s probably more of a cultural thing but the way the Latin singer exaggerates certain words and sticks out her tongue, one can only wonder.
No cardi b this season so they brought in anais to fill that spot 😂😂😂 Anais and CARDI act the same #LHHNY pic.twitter.com/RRVSy3nIWP

While we’re on the topic of Cardi, it’s also important to consider how Self is feeling these days after passing her up a few seasons ago. Played her to the left like a nagging ex-girlfriend. And he’s still out here, searching for that one hitmaker to be on the Gwinnin team. His “artist” Dream Doll may be the one. Or not. We’ll see when we hear the music—if we hear the music.
DJ Self is trying to redeem himself for taking the biggest L in history by not taking Cardi B seriously. Sorry self you’re SOL #LHHNY pic.twitter.com/NdjJ54DSmP
